Tableau has recently updated the Certification Details. Below are the details that i wrote for Tableau 9 version. I plan to update it when i get time. —- Tableau Certification for Tableau 9.0 + ( Now Obsolete ) ————–
Tableau offers two levels of certification for both Desktop and Server.
- First level of certification is known as Qualified Associate and
- Second level of certification is known as Certified Professional.
To become Certified Professional you must be a Qualified Associate.
Earlier Tableau was offering certification for version 8 both Desktop and Server. Now Tableau released 9 version certification exam. So now you cannot register for version 8. If you are already certified in version 8 and now you want to upgrade yourself, you can write 9 version delta exam with only new features.

Tableau Desktop 9 Qualified Associate
- Exam fee: 250$
- Duration of Exam: 2 hours
- Total No of Questions: 34
- In that 34:
- Knowledge based Questions: 16 (1 mark each)
- Hands on Experience Questions: 18 (3 marks each)
- All Hands on experience questions should answer by using tableau tool with given data sources.
- Passing score: 75% ( 53/70)

Tableau Desktop 9 Certified Professional
- Exam fee: 600$

- Grading: By committee based on scoring rubric

This exam is for anyone who is currently a Tableau Desktop 8 Qualified Associate or Certified Professional. Take this exam to upgrade your title to version 9. - Exam fee: 125$
- Duration of Exam: 45 Mins
- Total No of Questions: 12
- In that 12:
- Knowledge based Questions: 7 (1 mark each)
- Hands on Experience Questions: 5 (3 marks each)
- All Hands on experience questions should answer by using tableau tool with given data sources.
- Passing score: 75% ( 17/22)

This exam is for anyone who is currently a Tableau Server 8 Qualified Associate or Certified Professional. Take this exam to upgrade your title to version 9.
